Smart Investor is proud to be a 2010 sponsor of the Boys & Girls Club of Auburn. The Boys & Girls Club of Auburn provides a safe environment where members have fun and develop a strong sense of belonging through the personal relationships they have with peers, volunteers and adult professionals. Club members acquire physical, social, artistic and life skills through the club’s diverse program activities.
In 2009, the club provided after school and summer programs for 751 local area children who would otherwise have been left at home alone. Members range in age from 6 to 18 and come from a variety of diverse backgrounds as a result of the club’s policy to accept children of all socio-economic backgrounds.
The average cost to the Boys & Girls Club to support one student for one year is $1,000. Memberships are offered at a discounted rate of $100 per student per year but since the club does not turn any child away, the majority of students receive a full scholarship. The remainder of the cost is covered by donations and grants. The majority of the proceeds for the Boys & Girls Club of Auburn come from individual donations and business support.

The Boys & Girls Club of Auburn will be hosting its annual fundraiser on June 12th. Chillin’ & Grillin’ Barbeque, Band & Auction is expected to draw 500 supporters. Smart Investor invites you to attend the fundraiser which will offer tickets for $25 in advance and $35 at the door.
