Chris Ford has been a valued member of the Smart Investor team since the firm's inception. She currently serves as the company's Office Manager, Company Accounting Supervisor and Charitable Trust Administrator. 
Chris began her career in the financial services industry in 1990 when she started working with Allan Henriques as his assistant and paralegal. This relationship spanned over the next twenty years in various capacities. Earlier this year, Allan and Chris celebrated 20 years working together. Chris' goal is to assist Smart Investor clients in any way she can to help them achieve the financial security they are seeking.
Prior to commencing her working relationship with Allan, Chris spent 17 years working as a Paralegal/Legal Secretary to various estate planning attorneys assisting with the preparation of estate planning documents - experience which serves her well as Smart Investor's Charitable Trust Administrator. In this role, Chris provides the firm's clientele with exceptional service co-coordinating beneficiary payouts and tax return preparation.
In addition, she previously served as a portfolio administrator for a variety of investment management firms where she prepared financial plans consisting of estate, retirement, education, long-term care, and life insurance needs analysis.
As Smart Investor’s Office Manager and Accounting Supervisor, Chris also brings a wealth of expertise to the firm from her training and past experience in the overall management of offices as well as the bookkeeping and accounting function. Accounting being an area of particular interest to Chris, she pursued and recently achieved her Associates of Science degree in Accounting.
Chris currently resides in Grass Valley where she enjoys gardening, quilting, reading and hanging out with her 4-legged "kids". Chris has a strong passion for animals and their welfare, and demonstrated her commitment to animals by serving as a board member and Treasurer for AnimalSave of Grass Valley for seven years. As a former board member of AnimalSave, she sought to provide care and compassion for those animals in need in the community and to promote public awareness and education on the plights of abused and abandoned animals and the solutions that might be available. Chris continues to support various animal causes in any way she can.
