Allan Henriques
President, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Compliance Officer
Allan Henriques, established Smart Investor in June of 2001 and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer for the firm. In this role, Allan is responsible for the implementation of the firm’s business plan, the management and oversight of company operations, and creating and maintaining client relationships.
Allan is a former attorney, a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), as well as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA). He works with individual and institutional clients throughout the United States. For over 25 years, Allan has drawn on his legal and financial services experience to help clients meet their financial objectives while legally reducing potential tax liabilities and protecting their estate values. His professional mission is to assist his clients achieve financial security and live a financially balanced life.
Allan is actively involved in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Auburn Boys & Girls Club and the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation. Allan and his wife, Linda, live in Auburn, CA. In their free time, the couple enjoys traveling and spending time with their five adult children and fourteen grandchildren.

Cathy Keck, CFP®
Executive Assistant
Cathy Keck serves as the Executive Assistant to Allan Henriques providing support on all client services including estate planning, financial planning and retirement planning needs. Cathy also works with Smart Investor’s Retirement Planning Team to evaluate and implement retirement plans.
Cathy began her financial services career in 1992 and has gained a wealth of knowledge over the years working for a variety of financial planning and investment advisory firms. In 2001, she formed her own financial planning and consulting services firm which she operated until she retired in 2005. In 2007, Cathy came out of retirement to join the Smart Investor team. Cathy’s professional philosophy is that education, understanding and setting expectations is the combination to a successful plan. She works diligently to ensure she is always adhering to this philosophy.
In her spare time, Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband. Her hobbies include quilting and cooking.

Christine Ford
Office Manager; Accounting Supervisor; and Charitable Trust Administrator
Chris Ford has been a valued member of the Smart Investor team since the firm’s inception. She currently serves as the company’s Office Manager; Accounting Supervisor and Charitable Trust Administrator. In the role of Charitable Trust Administrator, Chris provides Smart Investor’s clientele with exceptional service co-ordinating beneficiary payouts and tax returns.
Beginning her career in the financial services industry in 1990, Chris brings 30 years of experience to the Smart Investor team. Her prior positions included being a Paralegal/Legal Secretary where she assisted estate planning attorneys with the preparation of revocable, irrevocable and charitable trusts. In addition, she previously served as a portfolio administrator for a variety of investment management firms where she prepared financial plans consisting of estate, retirement, education, long-term care, and life insurance needs analysis.
Chris currently resides in Grass Valley where she enjoys gardening, quilting and reading.

Jamie Sweeney
Client Services/Client Benefits Specialist
Jamie Sweeney assists with the administrative duties for Smart Investor’s Asset Management Department and individual clients, including the ongoing review and maintenance of client information. Jamie also serves as a client benefits specialist for one of the firm's clients, a major California union. Her responsibilities include providing benefit information to union members and assisting in the preparation and presentation of benefit information to union members.
Jamie has 16 years of financial services experience to contribute to the Smart Investor team. Prior to joining the firm, Jamie worked for Franklin Templeton’s quality control department as an assistant supervisor of deposits and payments.
A resident of Roseville, Jamie enjoys exercising and participating in crafts with her three children. She also volunteers for the annual California Correctional Peace Officers Association Shriner's Hospital event.
Laura S. Moskwa
Retirement Plan Consultant
Laura S. Moskwa, CPC, QPA is a Reitrement Plan Consultant for Smart Investor. With over 25 years of experience in the pension industry, Laura focuses on helping employers provide the best retirement plan solution for them and their employees. Laura’s experience includes owning her own consulting firm which offers services to providers working in the retirement plan industry. Prior to establishing her own firm she worked for Transamerica Retirement Services as Vice President and Director of TPA Services. Laura also has eighteen years of experience as a TPA which encompassed many roles as well as ownership.
Laura has been a member of the American Society of Pension Professional and Actuaries (ASPPA) for over 20 years. She currently sits on the Board of Directors and has served on the Executive Committee as Vice President, the Marketing Committee, the Education and Examination Committee, the Conferences Committee and numerous taskforces. She has also spoken at industry conferences and lead exam study sessions. Laura sits on the Center for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX) Registration Committee providing industry, TPA and Recordkeeping expertise in the review of firms applying for the ASPPA Service Provider Certification and is a Board Member of the Women in Pensions Network.
Laura is a Charter Member of Soroptimist International of the American River in Auburn. She lives in Auburn with her husband Tony and their two children. She enjoys cooking, gardening, painting, skiing and traveling.

Luann Wallick
Client Service Representative
As Smart Investor’s Client Service Representative, Luann Wallick oversees the establishment and maintenance of client accounts. She serves as a liaison with the various custodians used by Smart Investor. Luann assists the portfolio manager with daily account reconciliation, account downloads and trade processing. On a quarterly basis, Luann is an integral part of the preparation and dissemination of the quarterly reports.
Luann brings to Smart Investor 20 years of financial services experience in all areas of administrative and operational responsibilities for both Registered Investment Advisor and brokerage firms.
A resident of Roseville, Luann enjoys spending time with her two sons, Colby, 26 and Dylan, 20.
Thomas McHugh
Client Relationship Manager
Thomas McHugh is an Investment Advisor Representative for Smart Investor and currently serves as Client Relationship Manager working primarily with business owners to establish and maintain their qualified retirement plans. He also assists business owners with their personal financial planning, estate planning and investment management needs. With over 25 years of financial services industry working with business owners, Tom’s focus at Smart Investor is to develop and manage client relationships, including retirement plans sponsors and participants.
In his free time, Tom enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, fly fishing, cycling and camping. He currently resides in Stockton, California with his wife Jayne and his two sons.

Tracy Gunter
Benefit Specialist
As Smart Investor’s Benefit Specialist for a major California union client, Tracy oversees the client relationship and helps union members navigate alternative benefit solutions while counseling them on benefit choices that best meet their personal objectives. Tracy’s role involves traveling state-wide to meet with and educate union members on their benefits. She is also a regular speaker at union meetings and events.
Additionally, Tracy assists with the coordination and retirement plan education services for plan participants of the firm's retirement plan clients. In this role she works with and advises individual plan participants to help them achieve their financial retirement objectives.
Tracy lives in Auburn with her two children and enjoys hot yoga, hiking, reading and juggling. In her free time, she works with Folsom State Prison's correctional officers to do various community and charitable activities, including events at the Shriners Childrens Hospital in Sacramento throughout the year. For years, Tracy has participated in the Auburn Community annual Renaissance Faire, teaching 7th graders to juggle.
